Harris English won a whopping $1,334,000 after winning the tournament, lifting his season total to $6.5 million. Harris has had a great season so far. He finished solo third in the 2021 U.S. Open, T21 at Masters, and T14 at Palmetto Championship. The four-time PGA Tour winner was exceptional with his game in all four rounds.

But his major strength in the final round of the tournament was his putting. He gained +3.34 strokes on Sunday and +0.99 strokes for the event with his putting. His playoff opponent Kramer Hickok was neck to neck against him but struggled with his approach game a little. Even off the tees, English was exceptional as he gained around +0.92 strokes for the tournament.

In the playoff, both Harris and Kramer made seven consecutive pars. But on the eighth hole, Kramer two-putted from 22 ft, and English had a 20ft birdie putt to win. Harris sank in and finally ended this exciting playoff.

The longest playoff in PGA Tour history was 11 holes at the 1949 Motor City Open between Lloyd Mangrum and Cary Middlecoff. But both became co-champions by mutual agreement because of darkness.

The three-time winner, Bubba Watson, was in contention until he closed his round with four bogeys and a double-bogey. Watson shot 73 and finished T19. Bubba’s collapse opened the gate for English and Kramer to have a fight and eventually get into the playoff.
