“Nobody Wants To Face Me”: Nick Kyrgios’ Confident Remarks Ahead Of Wimbledon Championships 2021 Return

“Nobody Wants To Face Me”: Nick Kyrgios’ Confident Remarks Ahead Of Wimbledon Championships 2021 Return

While tennis is largely seen as a game of serious men, there have been many players in the past who look at the lighter side of life. Nick Kyrgios is certainly one of them. This is not to say that he lacks the punch in crunch game situations. The Australian fears no one in the world and can face any opponent, any day.

Ahead of the Wimbledon Championships, Krygios again made some comments that brought his colorful yet gritty personality to the fore.

The World No. 61 said that no player wants to face him on court. There is a certain sense of confidence about the Aussie, which will take him a long way in the Wimbledon Championships. Krygios will play his first-round match on Tuesday against Ugo Humbert of France.

Nick Kyrgios and his approach towards his opponents

It is very important to have a positive mindset while approaching a tournament. The player should have all the knowledge about his opponent and create a sense of fear.

Nick Kyrgios is the bad boy of tennis, and his comments do all the justice to his character.

Nobody wants to face me in the first round. I feel that I can beat 50% of the draw. At the start of my career it was like I was a disgrace to the game. Now every time I touch a court it’s fully packed and I’m always on the tennis social media,” said Kyrgios is an interview.

Nick has also partnered with Venus Williams and will be featuring in the mixed doubles event. He is playing his first tournament since the Australian Open back in February this year.

The bad boy of tennis has sustained a few injuries and also has his own personal reasons for not playing a tournament.

Kyrgios gave an abysmal reason for his withdrawal from the French Open earlier this month. The Aussie said that he does not like clay courts, and hence would not play at Roland Garros.

He also withdrew from the Queen’s Club Championship due to a neck pain. Needless to say, the fans would highly anticipate his return to the court at Wimbledon.

Kyrgios has never failed to entertain a crowd at an event. Even though he might not be the most decorated player, or the most skillful player, his character speaks volumes of him.

The World No. 61 is never shy of a challenge, and the Wimbledon Championships this year are nothing short of that.
