The home support in attendance at Watford’s meeting with Manchester United this afternoon have not been shy in taking aim at Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, amid another day to forget to this point for the Norwegian.

Sarr amongst the goals

The Hornets are of course currently locked in action at Vicarage Road.

In the respective clubs’ first outing post-international break, Watford welcomed the aforementioned United to south Hertfordshire, for a Premier League showdown.

And what a spectacle the clash has proven thus far…

Incredibly, despite having been aware ahead of kick-off that nothing but a three-point haul would do, the visiting Red Devils currently trail Claudio Ranieri and co. by two goals to nil.

After seeing a pair of spot-kicks thwarted by David de Gea early on, the dominant hosts finally took a deserved lead inside the half-hour mark, courtesy of Josh King:

And it was two on the stroke of the interval, as Ismaila Sarr, guilty of one of two misses from twelve yards earlier in the matchup, rifled home a superb finish from a tight angle:

‘OleOut’

In turn, with a little over 45 minutes played at Vicarage Road, and not only Manchester United’s campaign, but Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s job hanging in the balance, it should come as little surprise to hear of the Watford faithful having some fun at the expense of their heavyweight opponents.

After the hosts’ 2nd of the afternoon found the net, chants of both ‘Ole’s at the wheel’ and ‘Sacked in the morning’ quickly rang around the ground:

Adding further to the woes facing the under-fire Solskjaer, meanwhile, has been the ensuing backlash across social media.

Despite time remaining for his side to turn things around on Saturday, the Red Devils faithful have made their feelings crystal clear, as the hashtag OleOut trends online once more:
